Christiana Muguro is a multifaceted animator and painter whose work flows seamlessly between the digital and the tactile. After training in 2D animation (2020–2021), she contributed her intuitive sense of rhythm and emotion to Uli and Tata’s African Nursery Rhymes, a series celebrating the richness of African storytelling. Her practice has since expanded into independent collaborations, music videos, and educational shorts, where she translates complex feelings into vivid motion. Her paintings are soft, layered meditations on solitude and the spiritual landscape of becoming. They possess a dreamlike stillness that challenges the noise of the external world, reclaiming space for the intelligent and resilient spirit. Following her 2025 exhibition, Brikicho, at the Nairobi Gallery and her solo debut at the Bizarre Bazaar, Muguro continues to balance her role as an animation consultant with her pursuit of painting as a profound, unapologetic means of self-expression.
