Muthoni Nderitu is a visual artist and poet whose work delves into the intersections of inner life and collective experience. Working with mixed media, particularly collage and acrylic, she weaves reflections on memory, identity, and societal tensions into layered imagery and symbolism. Her art draws inspiration from everyday struggles as well as quiet moments of awakening, inviting viewers to pause, look closer, and feel more deeply. Beyond her studio practice, Muthoni is dedicated to community engagement, using art as a channel for therapy, healing, and shared expression. 4 I create to hold space for what words often fail to express: the quiet truths of the mind, the spirit, and the world around us. My work is rooted in acrylic and collage, often layered with poetry and sometimes enhanced through augmented reality. Each piece becomes a dialogue between what is seen and what is felt, between the self and the collective, and between personal and shared experience.
